'The Lodge' KAC CHARLOTTE PASS
Location
KAC Charlotte Pass is ideally positioned in the heart of the Australia’s highest village, next to the Chalet Hotel. Known to Members as “The Lodge”, it’s just a snowball’s throw to the nearest lift or a drink at the Chalet after a hard day on the slopes. Australia’s highest village is completely snowbound in the winter, creating a unique alpine village experience with no cars and no crowds. KAC is located in the heart of the village opposite the chairlift, magic carpet and adjacent to the ski school, lift tickets sales and equipment rentals. This is absolute ski-in ski-out accommodation.
Lodge Facilities
Guest facilities include lounge room with mountain views, an open fire in the main living area, wireless internet, table tennis room, laundry, drying room and secure ski storage. The commercial kitchen provides ovens, cook tops, a microwave ovens as well as all the saucepans and cooking utensils you need. Each room is allocated refrigerator and cupboard space in the kitchen. Guests have a choice of selecting the evening meal prepared by the Manager or self-catering. The Club also provides a hot breakfast plus cereal, bread, juice, butter and jams for breakfast during winter and over the Easter weekend. Guest food preparation area for snacks between catered meals includes microwave oven, fridge, and sink. Tea, coffee, and hot chocolate are available all hours.
Guestrooms
Accommodation comprises of 18 rooms with en-suites over two levels offering a variety of sleeping arrangements. Rooms are in King, Twin or Bunk configurations. Rooms are modern with adjustable heaters to keep your family cosy and all have en-suites. Front rooms have views over the ski area and rooms at the rear look over the Charlotte Pass valley & have beautiful snow gum views.

Getting There
Charlotte Pass takes a little longer than Perisher to get to. It’s an easy 5.5 to 6 hour drive from Sydney via Canberra and Cooma or 7 hours from Melbourne with more than half the distance on freeway standard or dual carriage roads. The Alpine Way accesses Bullocks Flat from Jindabyne. The Skitube at Bullocks Flat takes 15mins to get up to Perisher. From just above the Skitube Terminal at Perisher you will find the Charlotte Pass SnowCat desk which will transfer you to Charlotte Pass Village. The oversnow trip takes ~40mins.
