KAC Club Carnival Week at Thredbo is a brilliant opportunity for KAC Members (and their guests) to try their skills on the international standard Thredbo Race Courses. The week commences with Race Training under the watchful eye of expert level Thredbo Ski Instructors, then follows on with daily races on the different racecourses in the different styles. From Slalom to Super Cross, and from the Grand Slalom to the Super G - there is an event for everyone. And for the super enthusiastic the week culminates in the Interclub Race Series - join the KAC team and race for our Club. Stay at Thredbo Lodge to enjoy delicious meals, generous hosts and club camaraderie.

  • The Carnival starts with a Training Session with qualified ski racing instructors on Tuesday, continues with one or two races a day from Wednesday to Friday, and, for the really keen, finish the week competing in Lodges Interclub Carnival on Saturday - Join us for one race or stay for the full program!
  • If you'd like to stay at KAC during the Carnival we have rooms available, but if you're staying elsewhere we still love you to join us.

 

THE 2024 CLUB CARNIVAL RACE SERIES - CANCELLED

The traditional Club Carnival runs across four days and encompasses a training session and five different race events.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  • All racers must enter each race prior to the event. Final entries close <TBC>.
  • All racers must wear a suitable snow sports helmet – Thredbo Snow Sports reserves the right to ‘deny access to any event if the participant does not possess the appropriate personal protective equipment’.
  • It is assumed that all race participants are aware of their own racing ability and have achieved a minimum Level 4 standard s defined by Thredbo Snowsports ie ‘I finish my turns with the skis parallel but I still have a snowplough for most of my turn, on all green slopes’.
  • All racers must include a valid mobile phone number to enable ‘on the day communications’. Changing weather conditions may result in last minute changes to event timings, locations, formats etc and racers will be updated via text message.
  • Bibs may be collected at KAC Thredbo from <TBC>. Each racer is allocated one bib for all events. The bib must be returned at the close of the week.
